HBO star Felicia “Snoop” Pearson was recently arrested on drug charges after police obtained her for refusing to assist as a witness in a murder trial.

According to the Baltimore Sun, the star of the HBO series “The Wire” was taken in to custody Wednesday morning (August 20) once members of a homicide unit broke into her Northeast Baltimore home to serve a “body attachment” warrant.

Various counts of assumed marijuana were discovered in Pearson’s home in two cigars and “loose plant material” was located in the kitchen cabinets. She was immediately arrested and charged with one count of drug possession.

Authorities issued the warrant because they believe Pearson watched Steven James Lashley, stab three men, killing one, after a verbal argument took place outside of New York Fried Chicken in the fall of 2005.

Court records indicate that the warrant was originally issued as early as July 1 after Pearson failed to appear in court for an April 21 trial date, ignored the prosecuting arttorney's phone calls and told her that "she wished to have no further personal contact with her about this case.”

As of now, Snoop is being held in Central Booking and may be detained until September 16 when the murder trial begins.
