Queen Latifah Files Suit For Lack Of Payment, Owed 275 K For Film Appearance

Academy award nominee, Queen Latifah, filed a lawsuit in Manhattan federal court against a production company involved in the film The Perfect Holiday, alleging that she has not yet been paid.

According to Reuters, lawyers for the triple threat, rapper/singer/actress said California-based company Perfect Christmas Productions, was guilty of breach of contract and owed Latifah $275,000. The lawsuit also said it is believed Perfect Christmas Productions was paid several million dollars by different sources for the film.

Latifah, who is also a Grammy award winner, made a cameo role in the 2007 film which also starred Terrence Howard and Gabrielle Union.

The film was released in December and according to Box Office Mojo grossed more than $5.9 million by February 2008, in the United States.
