Marvel Partners W/ New Era, Iron Man Gets Fitted

With the recent success of Iron Man, New Era is partnering with Marvel comics to create a new line of superhero themed caps.

New Era, the lead designer and manufacturer of headwear recently made the announcement that it will launch the "Super Heroes" Collection which will feature characters from Marvel's extensive collection.

The first two collections will be focused on the Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk movies. Iron Man caps feature either Iron Man's face or an image of his hand and are already available in selected retail stores throughout the country and online for an estimated $35. The caps will be available in a variety of colors and in either satin or wool fabric.

As previously reported, Iron Man pulled in nearly $200 million worldwide, in its first weekend and Marvel comics is already working on a sequel as well as other comic book themed flicks.

Gerry Matos, Senior VP of Marketing at New Era, said "We're ecstatic to align ourselves with such an iconic brand as Marvel. With their vast collection of characters and our signature caps as a canvas, we expect the demand for these caps to be high."
