An 18-year-old aspiring MC was killed Thursday night (May 1), stabbed multiple times in the hallway of a building in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn.

Renato "Young Noddo" Scantlebury was pronounced dead on arrival at Woodhull Hospital after suffering multiple stab wounds to the stomach, neck and chest from an ice pick.

According to the New York Daily News, witnesses said Scantlebury had gotten into a fistfight with two men outside the building where the murder occurred after he made a joke about the gang's T-shirt. An hour later the teen was attacked by the gang members and left for dead. Police found the victim bleeding heavily.

Witnesses told police they saw three men fleeing from the scene.

The son of a NYPD officer, Lisa Wade, friends of the budding MC said that Scantlebury had no criminal record and was a good person who never rapped about hurting people.

A man who identified himself as Scantlebury's father told the paper that the 6-foot-tall teen was an aspiring rapper who doted on his 1-year-old daughter.

"He wanted a good life for his little girl," the dad said. "He was working at a Chuck E. Cheese downtown, but he had a demo out and was hoping it would be his big break."
