Former B.G. Associate VL Mike Murdered

Ex-B.G. colleague and Chopper City Boyz member, VL Mike, was fatally shot in New Orleans over the weekend.

According to the Times-Picayune, VL (born Michael Allen) was gunned down while exiting a vehicle shortly after 1 p.m. on Sunday (April 20) in the 4700 block of Miles Drive in Gentilly. The gunman escaped on foot after the shooting and police have not yet made any arrests.

VL Mike was rushed to University Hospital where he died soon after. An autopsy is scheduled for today.

Friends and fans have since filled the 32 year-old's MySpace page with rest-in-peace wishes and reactions of disbelief.

"Someone pinch me mane, not VL Mike, dog ...," one commenter lamented. "You gone but not forgotten," another wrote.

VL Mike was a member of former Cash Money rapper B.G.'s group the Chopper City Boyz and appeared on the crew's 2007 release We Got This. Shortly after he had a falling out with B.G. and left the group.
