New developments in the Remy Ma trial surfaced yesterday, as a witness testified that the victim, Makeda Barnes-Joseph, pled for her life after being shot last summer.

New York's Daily News reported that Krystal Bolton, an aspiring rapper and friend of the Barnes-Joseph, told jurors in Manhattan Supreme Court that she was sitting in a parked car outside a Meatpacking District bar when the 23-year-old victim was shot in the stomach last July.

Bolton told the jury that Barnes-Joseph pleaded, "Don't let me die."

However, Bolton did reveal that she did not have a clear view of the shooting.

As proceedings began Tuesday, Remy's defense attorney Ivan Fisher said the shooting was an accident and that the gun had gun off during a struggle for the weapon between the Bronx-bombshell and Barnes-Joseph.

The incident allegedly occurred when Remy discovered $2,000 missing from her purse and accused the victim of stealing the money.

Currently, Remy Ma is free on $250,000 bail and could face up to 25 years in prison if convicted.
