Beyonce "Obsessed" With Idris Elba

Beyoncé Knowles is taking a thrilling turn in her film career, having taken on a role in the new Screen Gems film Obsessed.

According to Variety, Knowles will play the wife of a successful asset manager, played by Idris Elba. Elba stars as the man who has everything, until his life takes a Fatal Attraction-style turn when a temp begins stalking him.

NBC "Heroes" star Ali Larter will portray the femme fatale with a treacherous crush.

Beyoncé and her father, Matthew Knowles are executive producing the project, which is set to go into production this summer.

As previously reported, Beyoncé is also set to star as Etta James in the Sony BMG film Cadillac Records, which she is also producing.

In related news, the series finale of "The Wire"- the hit HBO series that Elba starred in for 3 seasons- is scheduled to premiere this weekend on HBO at 9 p.m. EST.
