DISASTER!! THE INNER CITY AWARDS SHOW GETS UGLY!!!

Things nearly pooped off at a charity event over the weekend. Media4i.com has learned that Saturday night's 15th Annual Inner City Destiny Awards started off as being a typical Hollywood award show, but it didn't end that way.

It all started when the organization's founder, Jeffery Coprich, recognized that despite having a packed house, the event only brought in one check - for $500.

We'll let our reader tell you what happened next:

The founder yelled "turn the lights on and stop the music". The lights were then turned on and that's when all hell broke loose. He said "I see you celebrities, getting out your fancy cars, wearing your fancy dresses and tuxedos all on the red carpet. I know you all have money and I think it's a shame that we as a people can give to families to help bury their deceased family member but cannot give to kids trying to better themselves. I'm hurt!! I'm hurt!! This is going to be the last award show I do. It really does sadden me that none of you care. This is ridiculous."

A number of celebrities looked shocked that they were being targeted and put on blast. A few of them even left the building and never returned back. After this speech host of the show Obba Babatunde' (Half & Half/How High) said and I quote "this is totally off script, but I want to talk to you Mr. Jeffery Coprich!! I CARE!!! If I didn't care I wouldn't be here to night, if we didn't care no of us would have showed up in attendance. You talk about God and how you're so holy...have a little faith brotha. It's not always what it appears to be and I feel personally disrespected!"

David Banner shortly was honored for his political achievements and his whole speech centered around the founder's action. He said "I feel like I was invited here tonight just so I could be suckered into giving you guys my money. Who are you to say we don't care. If we didn't care we'd be at home getting ready for the AMA's tomorrow or out at a pre-party. I was in such a rush to get here tonight to be with everybody that I left my wallet. (he then emptied his pockets) Look brah. All I grabbed were my keys and my cellphone. I don't appreciate the way I was spoken to tonight and damn it...I feel disrespected and because of that brah...I can't accept this award!" David then slammed the award on the podium and walked out the building with the award still sitting on the podium. The majority of the celebrities followed out the building with him and the award show was ended due to the majority of the people walking out behind the celebrities.

Call us crazy, but we're on Jeffrey Coprich's side (the founder). I mean how you gonna fill up an entire venue for a charity event and only get $500.00...
