Dancehall favorite Mr. Vegas made his first appearance on the RETV High School Tour. In an energetic and spirited fashion, Mr. Vegas delivered a short-but-sweet set before hundreds of raving high school fans at Jamaica's most prestigious high school, Campion College, in Kingston on Wednesday, October 8.

The crowd was overwhelmed with enthusiasm and surprised to see Mr. Vegas -- mainly because his previous absence fueled rumors that he would not take part on the tour. When in fact, the singjay had to cancel prior weeks' performances due to an injury from lifting weights. Never-the-less, the dancehall sex symbol was amped and ready for this week's show.

Keeping in mind the Abstinence theme of the tour and an underaged audience, Mr. Vegas peformed select hits from his catalogue. In a memorable moment of his stage show, he was joined by Maestro of Swatch for the dancehall anthem "Round of Applause." And without a doubt, Chelsha of High Energy Dancers added extra sizzle to Mr. Vegas' show. Mr. Vegas' presence on this week's show confirms that he has all intentions to participate in the rest of the RETV High School Tour.

"It is the responsibility of all accomplished artists to ensure that the youth are guided in the proper direction," says Mr. Vegas sincerely. "The HIV/AIDS and pregnancy rate among teenagers is too high...I am pleased to be part of something designed to eliminate this problem."

Mr. Vegas is enjoying a wealth of success with many hit songs in 2008. Distinctly, "Mus Come a Road" is #1 in Germany and wildly popular throughout the U.S. and Europe. Meanwhile, "Daggering," and "Hot Gal" locked down the #1 and #3 spots on Hype TV's chart for weeks. And "Round of Applause" is gaining momemtum.
