There's an unfortunate rumor out about legendary girl-group, TLC that's got a lot of people talking. However, in an exclusive statement sent to Gyantscoop.com, Rozanda "Chilli" Thomas and Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins is setting the record straight. Check out the scoop below.
The word on the internet was that TLC is reuniting, and that T-Boz & Chilli have both agreed to replace Lisa "Left Eye" Lopez with Brooklyn rapper, Lil Kim.
In an attempt to end the speculation, Chilli's publicist, Christal Jordan-Mims, of Enchanted PR, has rushed over a statement denying any and all reckless rumors regarding the supposed hip-hop addition. Here's what was sent over:
Gyant,
Please see the statement from Chilli & T-Boz listed below. It is very important to them that their fans know they would never replace Lisa. While they are both working on solo projects, neither of them has left the group.
Chilli and T-Boz have collaborated with other artists and Lil Kim is one of the artists they have discussed working with in the future. If Lil Kim is featured on a TLC new record, you'll be the first to know. :-)
Chilli and T-Boz's joint statement:
"We want our fans to know that replacing our sister Lisa is not, nor has it ever been an option. TLC will always consist of Chilli and T-Boz. Lisa's spirit lives on through us. She cannot be replaced. We may collaborate with other artists, just like many other groups have done, but we will never add anyone to TLC.
We love Lil Kim and have been talking about collaborating with her for awhile. We hope to have an opportunity to work with her in the near future."Chilli & T-Boz
I'm glad they set the record straight on this one.
I love me some Lil Kim, but homegirl doesn't hold a candle to the late, great Left-Eye.
