On the heels of G-Unit's forthcoming studio album Terminate On Site, the Unit's Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo spoke with about Sean Bell, their tribute song "Straight Outta Southside" and why 50 Cent decided to go through the painful process of tattoo removal.

As previously reported, the Unit recently released a tribute song paying homage to their slain Southside neighbor Sean Bell entitled "Straight Outta Southside." A remake of N.W.A's "Straight Outta Compton," the controversial track received mixed reviews as some critics tagged the song as opportunistic. Yayo disagrees.

"'Straight Outta Southside' is crazy because we came up with that around the non-guilty verdict with Sean Bell," Yayo said. "What's crazy about it is, Lloyd Banks got shot six blocks away from where Sean Bell got shot and my brother, too. It just goes to show you that it's real."

"I was actually on the phone with Joe Guzman, a good friend of mine is a good friend of his, he got shot 16 times [while in the car with Bell], so that shows you how real it is," Yayo continued. "It's not only affecting our hood, but it's affecting every hood. You got Philly, and I respect Philadelphia because you got 20 police that beat on three black men and Philadelphia police department fired those cops. It was good to read that online. But it's crazy out there."

Last year, the Southside home of Yayo's mother's was shot at 22 times and 'Straight Outta Southside' speaks to these real life events.

"My mother's house got shot up 22 times last year in Southside, and I talk about those issues on 'Straight Outta Southside,'" Yayo said. "Banks lost his father. We go through real sh*t too and right now everyone is at a point where they're snapping and popping, [but] there's real sh*t going on in our neighborhood."

In other news, there have been recent rumors that G-Units General 50 Cent has had his tattoos removed to secure upcoming movie roles. Banks and Yayo cleared up the speculations.

"When you see him you'll know," said Yayo. "I tell you one thing, I heard that sh*t hurts more than getting a tattoo so I won't be removing none of mine. But 50 started taking some of them off. If you look at his arms now you're going to see it."

"I'll just put makeup over mine."

Terminate on Site is scheduled to hit selves July 1st via G-Unit/Interscope Records.
