As the Ying Yang Twins prepare their seventh studio album, Ying Yang For President, the platinum-selling duo opens up to about the fall of TVT Records, taking charge of their success, and why crunk ain't dead.

As previously reported, after numerous legal battles and public disputes with several artists, TVT was forced to file Chapter 11 bankruptcy earlier this year. But while a number of artists are expected to jump ship, the Ying Yang Twins, consisting of Kaine and D-Roc, remain loyal.

"TVT has been a perfect label for the Ying Yang Twins, for the simple fact that when we first came in they told us they didn't understand what we do but they'll give it a shot," Kaine told. "All the hit records and videos you guys have seen were with the Ying Yang Twins, Mr. Collipark, and TVT, which means they have gave us the greatest representation of our career."

"We'll have no down talk about TVT," he added. "A lot of people don't understand proper protocol. So some stand and some fall. So sorry well, you'll get a farewell sale from the boys out of ATL."

Led by the Isaac "Ike Dirty" Hayes III-produced single "Drop," Ying Yang is currently at work on their upcoming album Ying Yang For President which they hope will introduce the public to a more balanced view of the group.

While previous projects from the group have been heavily influenced by production from Mr. Collipark and Lil Jon, the Ying Yang say they'll be taking the lead on this album.

"We got some of our own people, we trying to show people that D-Roc and Kaine furnish their own sound, without anybody included," Kaine said. "We're trying to show people that D-Roc and Kaine are the reason we made it. Not anybody else. Not to say anybody is talking bad about us. We just saying we want to prove that we still got it. We been going about ten years and we still ain't in our prime yet. But the world don't know it, but we gonna show it. Stay tuned don't change that dial we'll be back in awhile."

Much of Ying Yang's success has been tied to the popularity of crunk music, and despite a shift in interest in the genre, the duo says crunk is alive and kicking.

"Crunk ain't dead," D-Roc told. "You come to Atlanta it's still the same way - ten times more crunker."

Ying Yang For President hits stores this Summer via TVT Records.
