Former Destiny's Child member turned solo artist, Kelly Rowland, is working on adding the title of author to her resume.

According to People magazine, the singer is "getting into different ventures," and is "in the process of writing a children's book."

As far as the premise of the book, Kelly was tight-lipped, saying, "Everything is confidential right now, but I'm really excited because I've talked to some different publishing companies and got some people interested."

The inspiration for her book, which is in the early stages, came from her five godchildren.

"I love my god-kids, I love kids," she said.

Kelly has spent the last month in Europe, promoting her album Miss Kelly: Diva Deluxe.
