Alicia Keys Tour Hits A Bad Note, Singer Sidelined With Throat Problems

Alicia Keys recently cancelled two upcoming shows due to issues with her throat.

According to OK Magazine Keys announced yesterday (4/23) that she will have to cancel two shows due to swollen vocal chords.

Keys, who recently released a video for her third single "Teenage Love Affair," will be unable to perform at next Tuesday's scheduled concert in Pittsburgh, PA and next Thursday's show in Cleveland, OH. However, according to her label, tickets for the cancelled Cleveland show will be honored at her show in Columbus, OH Saturday (May 3) when Alicia is expected to return.

Alicia's opening act, "American Idol" winner Jordin Sparks was very recently sidelined due to hemorrhaged vocal chords. Sparks, who is currently on stringent vocal rest, is also expected to return to the stage in May.
