Janet Jackson is back on top after two previous disappointments. Jackson has the number one album in America, making this her sixth disc to hold the elite positition.

Discipline pushed 181,100 units in its first week according to Nielsen's SoundScan and marked the first number one album since Janet's 2001 All For You.

Both of Janet's most recent albums, 2004's Damita Jo and 2006's 20 Y.O., peaked at No. 2 on the charts.

Taking the number two slot is Erykah Badu with New Amerykah Part One (4th World War), selling 123,900 copies. This is Badu's first album in five years.

Badu previously spoke to about the beatmaking process of the album. "I dug deep down into the bottom of my hip-hop coin purse to find some of the freshest scientific, mathematical absurd geniuses that I could connect with because I was feeling pretty twisted myself."

On the hip-hop side of things, Webbie's Savage Life 2 took the number four spot, selling 72,000 copies. The album features the track "Independent," Webbie's collabo with Trill labelmates Lil' Phat and Lil' Boosie.

Atlanta native, Shawty Lo entered the charts at number thirteen with Units in the City. The album which rides on the success of the single "Dey Know," moved 31,000 units. It's not clear whether the early bootlegging of the album had an effect on its sales.

In a statement last month, Shawty Lo said, "Some of my new material was taken from my studio and bootlegged but what people don't know is that they don't have the real deal. They don't have all the songs that's going on the album. They're cheating themselves."
