Upping the ante for his upcoming album, Before I Self Destruct, 50 Cent has decided to return to his roots by working closely with Eminem and Dr. Dre and shoot a 90-minute feature film to include in the packaging.

While still carrying the loss from last year's record sales battle against rapper Kanye West, Fif has decided to re-enlist the help of the same people that made him famous in the first place.

Included in the packaging, 50 will also treat fans with a movie, sharing the album's title. Fif, who wrote and directed the flick, will also stars as the main character, portraying the role of an inner city child raised by a single mother.  With his dream of becoming a professional basketball player quickly fading after his mother is killed, 50's character resorts to a life of crime to achieve vengeance and support his younger brother.

"My film captures the harsh realities that reflect so many communities today," 50 said in a statement. "There will be some who will greatly identify with the characters and the situations presented and then there will be others who may be shocked that the struggles that go on in the inner city. I made the film for both groups."

As previously reported by, the G-Unit leader's new film aims to give viewers a more direct and understanding look at urban lifestyles.

"When [movies] portray certain lifestyles they don't show cause and effect," he told Rolling Stone. "But I showed characters under pressure in scenarios where they felt like there were no other options, even though there were. There are always options. People just usually start to see them while being incarcerated -- for not seeing them in the first place."

He also revealed his intent of recruiting a roster of unsigned artists and creating a separate score for the film to insure his label, Interscope, would not be involved.

"[If not,] then Interscope would automatically have the rights to it, when they had absolutely no ownership of the actual material," he added. "I kept the music up to standards. I worked with it until it was right."

Before I Self Destruct is slated for release on December 9.
