Long Beach, California native Warren G was arrested yesterday morning for drug possession and intent to sell marijuana.

According to The Los Angeles Times, the 35 year-old rapper was pulled over at 1:40 a.m. when driver, Ryan Butler, 29, allegedly ran a red light in downtown Hollywood. When stopped and searched by police, marijuana was found leading to the two men being arrested.

L.A. police officer Sara Faden said she did not know the exact amount retrieved from the arrest, but assures it was enough to charge both men with intent to sell.

Both Warren G and Butler were released after posting $20,000 bail.

The hit maker behind "Regulate" made his last comeback with VH1's "Celebrity Fit Club" as well as being featured in the MTV Competition "Celebrity Rap Superstar".
