Papoose Caught W/ Remy Ma Escape Key, Wedding Called Off

Jailed rapper Remy Ma and her fiance Papoose were scheduled to be wed yesterday before Papoose allegedly attempted to smuggle in a handcuff key into Rikers Island, apparently to break out his bride to be.

As previously reported, both Remy Ma and Papoose were scheduled to wed at the New York correctional facility yesterday but, according to the New York Daily News, those plans came to an end as Pap attempted to enter the facility with a handcuff key.

"A wedding was scheduled today and a visitor to that wedding service was found to be in possession of jail contraband so the wedding was canceled," a corrections official told the Daily News.

"The key that was found today easily opened handcuffs that we and other law enforcement officials use," the official said.

Papoose was not charged after he voluntarily surrendered the key to authorities. He was quickly ushered out of the jail before reaching the Rose M. Singer chapel, where the two were set to be married.

As a result of the incident, the two will not be allowed visitation with each other until November of this year.
