Brooklyn rapper Foxy Brown is heading home after eight months in the slammer and she wants to be released to fanfare and rolling cameras.
As previously reported, on Friday (April 18) Fox Boogie (born Inga Marchand) will be released from New York's Rikers Correctional Facility. Brown served time for violating her probation by roughing up two Chelsea manicurists. During her stint she spent 40 days in the hole for misconduct.
And after being denied an appeal for an early release, Foxy's final exit won't be a quiet one. The rapper will be gearing up for her album promotion and her new reality show from the moment she hits the door.
Her website invites fans to meet her in the prison's visitor parking lot wearing Foxy T-shirts or waving Foxy posters. She'll begin taping her VH1 reality show immediately with cameras following her every move, capturing her adjustment back into society.
"She's going to get on top of her career again," her manager Chaz Williams told Billboard.
Her new project, Brooklyn's Don Diva drops May 13.
