The Game Turns Himself In, Jail Sentence May Get Shortened

West Coast rapper The Game turned himself in to authorities late last night (March 2) on his weapons possession sentence.

As previously reported, The Game (born Jayceon Taylor) struck a plea deal putting him behind bars for 60 days, though according to TMZ, sources say he may not even serve half his time.

Dozens of friends and supporters showed up with the rapper wearing "Free the Game" t-shirts as he turned himself in along with his lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley. Game will reportedly be held in a separate area from the general population.

He initially pled not guilty to an incident in which he allegedly pulled a gun during an altercation over a basketball game last year in South L.A. He was looking at five years for the charge. The Game later agreed to a two month stint, pleading no contest to a felony gun charge for possession of a firearm in a school zone and opting not to go to trial.
