Remy Ma Assault Case Set For Trial, Jury Selection Starts Next Week

The assault trial for rapper Remy Ma may finally get underway, with jury selection scheduled to begin next week.

As previously reported, Remy is facing assault and related charges for allegedly shooting a woman in New York City last summer.

Remy was later charged with witness intimidating and gang assault and hit with an $80 million lawsuit by the alleged shooting victim.

Her trail has been delayed several times due to her lawyer, Ivan Fisher, being ill.

The rapper is currently free on $250,000 bail, and faces up to 25 years behind bars if convicted.

The Associated Press reports that jury selection is scheduled to begin on Thursday (March 6) in New York.
