Miami, producer and radio personality DJ Khaled recently partnered with Def Jam for his We The Best Music imprint.

Chairman of Island Def Jam Music Group, Antonio "L.A." Reid, made the official announcement today (Feb. 13), according to a press release.

Though still down with Fat Joe's Terror Squad, Khaled said he's happy to be with Def Jam.

"I'm proud to be a member of the Def Jam family. Def Jam has been and still is one of the most important institutions in hip-hop and music as a whole," Khaled said via a statement. "I am extremely honored and excited to be a partner with them in We The Best Music. I look forward to creating great music and continuing the success."

Khaled's latest album, We The Best released on Koch Records in June of '07, included appearances from Young Jeezy, Rick Ross, Akon, T.I. Lil' Wayne, Fat Joe, Cool & Dre, Juelz Santana, Beanie Sigel, and The Game. The album, which featured the smash single "We Takin' Over," debuted at No. 8 on Billboard charts.

Rapper Ace will be the first artist to release under the new agreement. No word yet on his debut date or any other projects to come.
