Bronx rapper Remy Ma's assault case hearing was postponed for a second time this morning (Jan. 17) because her lawyer, Ivan Fisher, is still ill.

As previously reported, Remy's pre-trial hearing, which was originally scheduled for January 10, was put off until today (January 17) after the rapper's lawyer first called out sick.

Remy who stands accused of shooting long-time associate Makeda Barnes- Joseph twice in the abdomen, strolled into the courtroom this morning around 9:45 a.m. wearing a long black coat, a gray sweater dress and boots.

Judge R. Uviller was clearly annoyed with the delay. She explained that the purpose of this hearing was to set a trial date and that it was "not a date for us to all come and look at each other...I'm going to make it very clear," the judge said. "I need him [Fisher] to appear here."

All parties will return to Manhattan Criminal Court on January 31 to set a definite trial date.When approached, the Bronx-bred lyricist had no comment about her upcoming trial but offered this statement, "Lil' Kim is washed up."
