Rock From Heltah Skeltah Free On $125K Bail

Rock, one-half of New York duo Heltah Skeltah, has been released from prison on $125,000 bail after being arrested for attempted murder.

As previously reported, Rock was arrested last Tuesday (Jan. 15) for assault and attempted murder charges and was being held at Riker's Island prison in New York ever since.

In a statement issued today, Rock's Attorney, Kenneth Montgomery, had this to say on his client's behalf, "Rock vehemently denies all charges and patiently awaits his day in court. Rock will be arraigned on the felony indictment in Brooklyn Supreme Court within the next month.

In the meantime, Rock will be preparing his Mix-CD, "Shell Shock." Among those featured on the disc are Sean Price, Buckshot, Smif-N-Wessun and Rustee Juxx.

Aside from this project Rock will also be finalizing his reunion LP with Sean Price entitled, D.I.R.T. (Da Incredible Rap Team). The pair plan to re-form Heltah Skeltah.

D.I.R.T. is slated for a summer '08 release on Duck Down Records.
